Living in an urban environment certainly can pose challenges for those who commute. When you have to lock your bike outside a great deal, you want to make your steed as unassuming as possible so that it does not attract the attention of thieves. This is not a new theme on this blog, we have covered uglification several times: examples can be found here, here, and here.
I travel to D.C. by train a lot and I have made it a habit to spend some time hanging out by the bike racks just outside the station. There is something cool about just wandering around lots of locked up bikes. This person took the “spray at will” approach to make the bike less appealing. Tires, spokes, chain . . . no part was left unmolested. Never mind any cool designs, just press the spray can and go for it.

not a great idea on two counts:
1. he left the name of the bike exposed, defeating the purpose of the paint job.
2. painting the chain would cause a lot of friction.

But . . . in this case does it really matter =)
This does not look like a bike you are going to ride more than a few miles around town on.
