Riding a school bus in America has a very negative connotation for kids and teenagers. If you take the bus to school you are most often pegged as a dork or nerd. At least that’s the way it was when I took the bus to school back in the day . . . up hill both ways in driving rain storms in the Pacific Northwest.

All the cool kids get rides with their parents in their huge SUV’s or drive their own cars right? Maybe all that can change with the latest inspiration from treehugger - possibly the coolest school bus ever.

Very cool. Air conditioning too, I see.
In Germany you can take your kids to school by car, but most people seem to think there is very little point- why build a traffic jam when the bus is quicker anyway?

American school buses need to go back to the old school way of a 2 mile radius. That being you walk or ride a bike if you live within 2 miles of the school, no Bus stops for you.

Amen to that, Mark…there are too many chubby kids who live within easy biking/walking distance to their schools.

I’ve got a neighbor who lives less about 1/4 mile from her childrens’ school. What does she do? Yep, fire up the ol’ SUV and idle in line for 30 minutes every school day of the year. It absolutely blows my mind.
