Hey, thanks for stopping by! If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to the RSS feed. You can also subscribe to BikeHacks by email. Thanks for visiting!
Robert Hurst, of The Art of Urban Cycling fame, has a new bloggish site called The Industrialized Cyclist. I’m super stoked to see Robert blogging because I loved his book. It’s chock full of great history and tips about riding in urban and suburban wastelands. Seriously, it’s really a great book. If you’ve been riding a while, there won’t be many surprises, but it’s still entertaining.
I’m not so stoked about the new site, though. There’s no RSS! Bogus! The quickest way to keep me from reading a site is to have no RSS feed. I used to be in the minority about RSS…am I still? Does everyone know how powerful RSS magic is? I still encounter the occasional person who gives me a blank look about RSS, but I work in a university setting and maybe we’re just ahead of the curve. I don’t know…anyone else with me on this? Robert needs an RSS feed, yes?
He’s also got a blog via his publisher, Falcon, that does have RSS but it’s not updated as often. Lose, lose, I guess.
Feed us, Robert!

I’m with you on feeds. Why should I have to go check a site to see if there’s a new post? it should just come to me.

Agreed totally. I’d consider checking the site directly, if it weren’t so horribly designed (colors and font are impossible to read). But with no feed and an unreadable site, I’m going to pass this one by.

FEEDS! Yes! A site without an RSS feed is like a bike without a chain? Sorry, it’s a Sunday and my head is not quite up to the witty-ness. But yeah, RSS feeds are the only way to read the ‘net.
