Anything cyclists can do to make themselves more visible is a plus. At RockTheBike.com they sell a product known as the “Down Low Glow.” It looks like a dope product for sure.
A gentleman who claims to have invented the Down Low Glow is featured in the following video. His web site is [...]

Via CoolTools comes this pointer for blinky lights activated by magnetic induction. Similar to how your odometer works, Reelights work by a magnet attached to your spokes, which provides power to the light as the magnet turns.

A plethora of lighting options can be found on the market for the front and rear of your ride, but I have found offerings for the sides of a bike to be lacking. Sure motorists, pedestrians, and other cyclists are MOST likely to see your front or rear, but you want to be as [...]

There’s perhaps nothing more important in cycling than making yourself seen. Cars rule the road and they weigh a heck of a lot more than a bike. There are plenty of safety lights for sale and I have tried my fair share. One of my favorites by far is this baby:

There are a TON of decent tutorials for building bike lights. But…how can I put this gently…they are not all equally attractive. If you showed me two lights side by side and they had equal performance, I’d choose the pretty one every time. That’s probably why I’m writing this on a Mac. Ahem.
Anyway, here’s a [...]

Over at Instructables, contributor Handsome Ryan has an excellent guide to mounting LED lights in your bar ends. The lights are switched on via magnet attached to your bike glove. This is a great bike hack for commuters. We commuters have already got enough lights to think about turning on and off every time we [...]
