Here’s a nice little project for the weekend, provided you’ve got access to your cubicle. These are pretty decent instructions for building a bike rack for your cubicle.

The end result is a 1×3 board with a wall-mount bike rack screwed into it. The board is secured to your cubicle wall with standard 1″ backpack webbing. You tighten the webbing with a standard cam-lock or fastex buckle.

Between painting/staining your board and using colored webbing, there are plenty of ways to make this either blend in with the drabness of your cube, or flex your “design on a dime” skillz. You’ll be the envy of your officemates, no doubt.

Might wanna clear that with the boss first, though.

    That’s really cool!

I’d opt for the “do it and beg for forgiveness if there is a problem” method though. I guess that depends on how uptight your boss is… Who knows, it might get some more people riding to work!

I like that philosophy! Bikes do not get enough respect. Organizations have car parking, how many have dedicated bike parking? Not a lot so it is incumbent upon cyclists to take the initiative!

I don’t think I have enough space for a bike rack in my cube. Its an 8×8 but need the all the table space I can get. Otherwise I’d be all over it.
