A picture like this one just makes me plain jealous. Living in a 500 square foot apartment certainly limits one’s ability to accumulate tools – especially ones that expel fire. Considering the fact that I sometimes burn myself with simple house appliances like an iron it is probably better that I not touch a torch anyway.
This picture comes from the Flickr Photostream – Squirrels Cycling Lyfestyle. With $24.95, and a flame producing device capable causing great harm to anything it comes into contact with, he was able to make his own bike tire chains.
The final product is beautiful. I am curious as to how long they actually last. I seem to remember breaking a few of my own car tire chains and seeing the roads littered with them during major snow storms. Is there any reason that the chain can’t be replaced by small sections of an old bike chain with the pin on the end removed?
