This list of cities with the worst bike theft comes from the Kryptonite Blog. I am happy to say that NYC is not #1. You have to wonder though, how many bike thefts go unreported each year?

Cops do not like bicyclist cause they can not jack a bicyclist like they can jack a car driver. A bicycle thief helps the cops keep control of the bicyclist. The enemy of my enemy is my friend. Any town that has a high bicycle theft rate has a cop force that doesn’t care, may be glad.
