Ipod Holder

From Bikehacks reader David  Mayhew comes this nice little hack for holding your ipod somewhere you can actually see it when riding.

I made an ipod holder for my bike as I was sick of stopping and taking my iPod out of my pocket everytime I wanted to change tracks or volume.  Take a look and let me know what you think. I am looking for all the feedback I can get so as to decide whether to develop it further to make it more user friendly and aesthetically pleasing.  This is designed for the 5th Gen Video iPod and was just a personal project for myself to begin with.  As there doesn’t seem to be any good quality iPod bike holders on the market for a reasonable price and will protect your iPod should an accident happen.  If people show enough of an interest, I will develop and manufacture holders for all versions and generations of the iPod.  e.g Nano, Touch, iPhone

I use the ear bud type headphones and just put one in one ear rather than both ears. That way I can listen to NPR on my commute but not compromise the ability to hear what is going on around me – an important factor in a big city like NYC.
