Here is something anyone who rides a bike should take a minute to support - a feature on Google maps for cycling. Google maps has “Drive there” and “Take Public Transit” and now a digital roots effort has begun to get Google to suggest two wheeled, self powered directions. treehugger ran the story recently and you can sign the petition asking Google to add this feature by clicking here.

There is a Walking option (at least when getting directions through Providence, RI there were)

There is also a Avoid Highways check box that I find useful for longer rides.
