For his graduation project from the Institute of Design in Lahti, Finland…Olli Erkkila built this very nice hack, the design is called the ‘Forkless Cruiser’.

this is very cool, unique design. Is there an advantage to a design like this?
This is pretty cool, though with a freewheel and no brakes I’d be a little nervous getting close to the street…
Seems to me you could weld up a flatbed rack, and carry a whole lot of stuff in the dead center of the bike. With better gearing and brakes, it might make for a good touring bike.
