The older I get the more cognizant I have become of my place in the world, specifically regarding the concept of relativity. I’m not talking physics, I’m talking about leaning slightly toward the metaphysical. When I encounter situations I realize that there are those more fortunate but also much less fortunate. If I start to feel down I think to myself, “You know, everything is relative and there are a lot of people worse off than you so get over it.”
One such example was the One Legged Messenger post a while back. Sometimes I get frustrated with something as silly as a strong headwind and then I think about a dude riding with one leg and I shut my mouth.
Above you see a picture of a dude who has no hands, for what reason I do not know, but he changes flat tires with his feet! Talk about coordination. The full story and image comes from Weird Asian News. Thank to reader Ryan for heads up!

Stories like this help me keep my life in perspective. If I think I’ve had a bad day or my life is so horrible and unfair- I can look at a guy like this who is making use of what he can do rather than dwelling on what he can’t. Good stuff.
