Funny how this is just coming out! I wrote a post about this very subject here. I figured out that I could contribute significantly to my retirement by eliminating my vehicles.
I also discovered how vehemently opposed some people were to this idea, which I thought was pretty smart since we’re a single-income family of (now) three! Amazing how people think cars are THAT important that they *need* them, instead of regarding them as the luxuries they truly are.
