While riding your bike and talking on your cell (like this dude) might be dangerous, riding your bike and charging your cell phone doesn’t have to be.  From HYmini comes the HYmini, a small handheld wind power generator you can attach to your handlebars using the UniRoss/HYmini Bike Holder Kit.  The kit includes all you need to become your own stationary or rolling lightning bolt for all your recharging needs.

For now in the US, the HYmini is availble at The Discovery Store for $74.95.  The HYmini package also includes a small solar panel for catching rays while stationary.

Power all your small devices – cell phone, iPod, camera and PDA – by harnessing the power of the wind and sun.

  • Handheld universal charger and adapter
  • Harnesses wind and solar power (as well as conventional AC power)
  • Patent-pending green technology
  • Recharges most 5V devices – cell phones, MP3s, PDAs and cameras
  • No additional software required

This hybrid, eco-friendly power station goes wherever you go and powers up your essential tools using clean, renewable energy.

Wow, this’d be awesome if it had a USB plug, so one could run a Flip moviecam from it.

Flip sell a handlebar mount that screws into the tripod socket on the bottom of the camera.
