Where you park you bike can be important for a variety of reasons. This hard luck example is evidence that one should not lock up too close to the street. Delivery vans are notorious for invading sidewalk space and it’s pretty clear that this bike, parked just a foot or two away from the street, was victimized by a “blind backup.” I am sure the driver left a note . . . yeah right!
