Bikehacks reader Will sent us this great hack that can make any small flashlight a new headlight for your whip.
After spending $50.00 on a bike light, only to have the mount fail, I came up with this. Any flash light, two hose clamps & two bits of in tube. Seems bomb proof to me!
…looks bomb proof to us too!

I want more info on that little thumbscrew thing on the top hose clamp. I could use one of those for my hacked coroplast removeable fenders…
These were with the normal hose clamps at the auto parts store I stopped at for this hack. I bought one of each so that I could mount & dismount the light for use off the bike as needed. It’s handy because you don’t need tools to make it work.

Congratulations Will! You officially win the prize for longest hyperlink of all time in a bikehacks comment =)
Ride on!
See, size does matter…
I suppose if anyone is worried about scratching their bar or flashlight, a wrap of old tube would remedy that nicely.
I think the same technique could be used to fashion a coffee cup holder. Just insert the paper cup and tighten until secure.
