Through a news feed I stumbled upon a contest that is happening in Northwest Arkansas. I have no relationship to Arkansas at all whatsoever. I’m guessing many of you out there don’t either. That’s why I am thinking it would be killer if this local contest got entries from all over the U.S., if not the world!
The bike design contest is meant for any age. So all you out there, break out the Illustrator, Crayola, Sharpie, or artistic instrument of choice and get on it! If you have kids, all the better! ActiveStyle is looking for smart or funny ideas for making riding your bike easier, safer or simply more fun. The Spiffy Spiffy Sprockets design contest is open to any reader of any age. To enter, just think of what you’d like to change about biking, draw or paint your idea and send it in.
Submissions should be on unlined paper or canvas no larger than 8 1 / 2 by 11 inches. Regular typing paper is fine. Images can be color or black-and-white — no pale pencil, please.
Please write your first and last names, address, age and your daytime phone number on the back of each entry. The editor will contact winners by phone. Address: Send your drawing or painting to:
