Bike Car?

On a recent subway ride (I try to avoid the subway was much a possible but sometimes its a necessary evil) a guy hopped on to the car I was in with an unusual bike. The frame was made of twisted metal and it incorporated elements similar to a car. See the orange arrow below pointing at faux exhaust pipe.

And then there is the spare tire. Certainly convenient, but that extra weight would be not fun to carry around for sure.

There are certain elements of cars that I think make sense for bikes, these are two design elements that just don’t make sense. Okay, I know the bike is not meant to be practical, it’s more form than function. Car elements I would want to us on a bike? A trunk, glove compartment, turn signals, and most of all a loud ass horn to get the attention of I-pod wearing, clueless pedestrians.

Perhaps the faux exhaust pipes are actually car-seeking rocket launchers. That could be useful for some of fender-riding, cellphone hugging motorists I have encountered… ;-)

A roof and a windshield would be favourite. I’d get a velotaxi on the basis of that aline but I couldn’t afford it.
