T.V. commercials involving bicycles are not a staple on television (unless maybe they are being carried around by a car on a roof rack) so I was stoked to see a commercial related to cycling during the Super Bowl pre-game coverage. While it was not a commercial directly aimed at cycling, cycling was the key ingredient. Amp Energy Drink ran a commercial focused on energy produced by groups of people riding stationary bikes. I have never had Amp, and finding out from their web site that the second ingredient is high fructose corn syrup makes me skeptical, but they get props from me for “hacking” the power grid with human produced energy.
You can find out more information about the event on the Amp web site.

The product used with the bicycles to create the power is the Pedal-A-Watt bicycle stand at http://www.econvergence.net/electro.htm
