It takes all kinds of cyclists to make the world go around, and all kinds of cyclists eat it from time to time. I’m generally not a mean spirited fellow, but I gotta be honest here: I find crash videos to be endlessly entertaining! And I tell you what: the web is full of entertaining crash videos, so I’m going to take it upon myself to serve as your human crash video filter. You’re welcome. This batch of video takes a look at 5 gnarly mountain bike crashes…

This first crash is definitely gnarly, but it’s more of a goof than a bona fide crash. The guy basically does an ill timed dismount that never ends:

This one is an actual crash and the anticipation buildup is almost unbearable. You just know the dude is gonna eat it. The only question is how bad will it be:

Number three here will probably make you grimace. Dude’s frame collapses at around 160km/hr. I’ve got nothing but respect for people who ride that kind of crazy:

This fool here, man, I don’t even know what to say. If you’re squeamish, you might skip this one since you’ll be seeing a broken arm. And some goofball “friends” who don’t pay much attention to their buddy’s pain:

Finally, here’s a nice little compilation of crashes by normal East Coast humans. No spectacular flameouts here, just the sort of stuff I can relate to. Plus, a couple of these guys get so racked that you can’t help but laugh!
